It is not the idea of believing that makes people delusional, it is the idea of seeing evidence that contradicts belief and disregarding it. Worse yet, is the idea of forcing people to adopt or live by your own beliefs. Simply viewing people as delusional cannot be considered as discrimination.

I do sincerely hope that all discrimination would one day disappear. Something I highly doubt will happen with religions around....Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06142375929578773998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146777710082590328.post-79145415412088236912007-03-20T11:00:00.000+02:002007-03-20T11:00:00.000+02:00Are you trying to say that Atheism is against disc...Are you trying to say that Atheism is against discrimination? Doesn't atheism consider all people with faith sheep and delusional? Isn't this one form of discrimination?

My dear, we're all intrinsically racist. It's in our genes, its what made us survive all these thousands of years, and it's one of the things that will go away as we ascend more and more into intellectual beingsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146777710082590328.post-19734816191874565442007-03-14T07:42:00.000+02:002007-03-14T07:42:00.000+02:00"Test all things" is not the same as "Question all..."Test all things" is not the same as "Question all things". You can find an elaboration on the difference in the source. In any case, almost every story in most "holy" books, let alone the very fact that religion exists, negates both.

Islam celebrated sex life to the extent which you accept, and are willing to live by. The truth, however, is that many restrictions exist. Homosexuality is a quite obvious example, and there are many others.

Regarding discrimination, only some forms are prohibited. As much as people would like to believe otherwise, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are sexist religions. You can find many examples of discrimination based on gender throughout all "holy" books. And there is of course, the discrimination against people of different religions. I don't think I need to give examples on that.

As for the other items, they are extremely important because they dissolve the self-replicating, narrow-minded brainwashing nature of religion. They give people the ability to choose.Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06142375929578773998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146777710082590328.post-25759416617011843352007-03-13T23:46:00.000+02:002007-03-13T23:46:00.000+02:00last 4 of the first:Test all things = Question eve...last 4 of the first:
Test all things = Question everything. so that's one down of 4

Second
- Islam celebrated sex life. Way beyond say catholicism did. Hinduism had this as a form of warship. Atheists, as well as religious people, can get these ideas by using deductive and logical thinking. The credit for them goes by no means to religion.

That said, the last four "commandments" made by the first atheist I quoted and all the ones made by the second have no base in religion to the extent of my knowledge.Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06142375929578773998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146777710082590328.post-25683297174665273852007-03-13T09:19:00.000+02:002007-03-13T09:19:00.000+02:00God, this is just a load of bull, You know why? be...God, this is just a load of bull, You know why? because every single commandment that "Atheism" has stated here, is already mentioned in one religion or another. Making a compilation doesn't make it any better or any worse

Look, universal values are not contested ever. The reason why anyone upholds them is their own. They want to consider it GOD or nature or what ever. Is irrelevant!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
